The Reverend Jes Kast is an ordained Minister of Word and Sacrament and serves West End Collegiate Church as their Associate Pastor. She is the Lead Pastor to the ministry A Taste of Heaven where she preaches weekly to a feeding program that supports those who are experiencing homelessness and poverty.  Her written works can be found on Sojourners, The 12. Reformed. Done Daily., Think Christian, and Huffington Post. Micah 6:8 guides her ministry “Do Justice. Love Mercy. Walk Humbly.”


Jes's Work

Jes works with various LGBTQ religious organizations to advocate for and celebrate full inclusion in the church. Her written work can be found at various online publications including Think Christian and The Twelve.


West End Collegiate

Jes serves the people of West End Collegiate Church on the Upper West Side of New York City as their Associate Minister.


Think Christian

Jes regularly writes for Think Christian, a collaborative digital magazine that recognizes contemporary culture — from politics to the arts to business to science — as falling beneath God's sovereignty.

Jes is one of The Twelve's bloggers who engage the world on a daily basis, looking at life through a Reformed Christian lens.



Beatitudes Society Fellow

Jes received the 2016 Beatitudes Scholarship Fellowship of noteworthy progressive leaders.

Served on the Room for All board for 6 years, including as President. Under her leadership, she helped the organization add another staff member.
